Gerard DeGregoris III graduated summa cum laude graduate from the University of Notre Dame and was Chief Resident at Cornell’s New York-Presbyterian Hospital during his anesthesia residency. He completed a fellowship in Pain Management at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and the Hospital for Special Surgery. Following fellowship, he worked as an attending anesthesiologist at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Currently, Dr. DeGregoris is an Assistant Professor at the Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine.
A dedicated teacher and experienced examiner, Dr. DeGregoris has helped hundreds of residents and attending anesthesiologists pass their oral board exam. His realistic examination style and clear and concise, organized feedback sessions reinforce the Consultant Approach to preparation, and have made him one of our most popular Examiners. His clinical areas of specialty include neuroanesthesia, anesthesia for ENT procedures, and the use of ultrasound for needle guidance.
When not teaching, Dr. DeGregoris enjoys serving as a Sailboat Racing Instructor on the Long Island Sound and playing volleyball with his Michigan Univeristy Alumni Club team.
